Artemis Vouharas, MA, LLPC
It is my passion to empower children, adolescents and adults in not only finding or regaining necessary tools to overcome obstacles and function independently again, but develop their own path to personal growth and healing. As a clinician I value the importance of inner strength, determination and resilience and strive to promote these in all my clients.
My approach to counseling stems from an integrative approach in which I incorporate research-based modalities that range from Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Since individuals and their problems are unique and varied, I tailor the approach I use based on each client’s needs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is collaborative and should promote self-discovery and healing in a safe, non-judgemental and empathic environment.
What Inspires Me
“Sometimes the people around you won’t understand your journey. They don’t need to, it’s not for them.”
My Ideal Clients
My ideal client is someone who is motivated, willing and ready to embark on their journey to self-discovery and healing. Perhaps you feel constrained by anxiety, depression, anger or grief. Maybe you are seeking support for school or work stress, various life transitions, relationship issues, conflict, self-esteem or other challenges. I welcome you to invest in yourself. Collaboratively, we will not only address root causes of symptoms and identify healthy methods to cope, but improve quality of life.
